Sometimes you need access to a file in order to complete a task. For example, if you are assigned the task 'Review proposal,' you would want to have the proposal document on hand. Files that are broadly related to your project as a whole can be uploaded on the Attachments page. However, uploading task-specific files as task attachments will keep your project more organized.
Note:
Webplanner also lets you link online documents (like Google docs) to your tasks.
To link a new attachment to a task:
- Click the Paperclip next to the task.
- A dialog box will open. Select Link an existing Project Attachment to this task.Click Next.
- Find the file you want to upload. Click Open.
To link a previously-uploaded file to a task:
- Click the Paperclip next to the task.
- A dialog box will open. Select Link an existing Project Attachment to this task.Click Next.
- Select the file from the list. Click Finish.
To link an online document to a task:
- Click the Paperclip next to the task.
- A dialog box will open. Select Link a document URL to this task. Click Next.
- Fill out the text fields. Click Finish.
